The deep scent of cypress with a woody note for calm and changing moments

Essential cypress oil is extracted via steam distillation from the Italian or Mediterranean cypress. The oil is taken from the needles and twigs of young branches from these trees, which became famous through Van Gogh's paintings. It is said that essential cypress oil calms strong emotions such as anger and is therefore useful during major life changes.

In an aroma diffuser, it spreads its scent throughout the room, and when well-diluted, it can be used in a cold compress as part of an aromatic routine.

The cypress tree is considered a tree of mourning in Greek mythology and is often planted in graveyards for this reason. It is also associated with Hades, the god of the underworld. The Phoenicians and Cretans used the tree's wood to build ships and houses. The Egyptians made sarcophagi from it, and the Greeks carved statues of their gods out of the wood. According to legend, Jesus Christ's cross was made of this wood, which is another reason why the cypress is associated with death. Ironically, the cypress's botanical name comes from the Greek "Sempervirens," which means "live forever."
