Bergamot essential oil is extracted by cold pressing the fruit peel of the bergamot orange tree. This essential oil has a citrusy yet sweet scent and is appreciated in aromatherapy for creating a relaxed and harmonious feeling.

This oil is FCF, furanocoumarin-free, which means that the substances that can otherwise make bergamot oil phototoxic have been removed. Despite this, caution is recommended on sensitive skin when exposed to sunlight after application.
