Sharp lime oil with a fresh citrus scent for invigorating aromatic moments

Essential lime oil is extracted from Citrus aurantifolia, also known as Mexican lime, West Indian lime, or sour lime. The oil is extracted from the peel of the unripe fruit by cold pressing, or from the peel and sometimes the whole ripe fruit by steam distillation. Lime oil has a sharp citrus scent and is pale yellow to pale olive in color.

Lime oil is suitable for aromatic blends, fragrance lamps, and other scented moments when you want to create a fresh and invigorating atmosphere.

Limes originally come from Asia but are now grown in many warm countries, including Italy, the West Indies, and America. The lime fruit is green when unripe and turns yellow when it ripens, and typically measures about five centimeters in diameter. It was introduced to Europe by the Moors and spread from there to America. Limes were also often taken on long sea voyages and have a distinct place in the stories of seafaring and citrus fruits.

Cold-pressed lime oil can cause photosensitivity and irritate the skin.
