Essential ginger oil from Zingiber officinale, also known as common ginger or Jamaican ginger. The oil is extracted by steam distillation from the unpeeled or dried and ground root. The name ginger originates from the place Gingi in the state of Tamil Nadu in India and the Tamil word for ginger, inji-ver.

Ginger oil has a warm, spicy, and energizing character. It is suitable for aromatic blends, aroma diffusers, and massage oil, where it is appreciated for its powerful scent and warming sensation.

In traditional product descriptions, ginger appears in connection with body massage, travel, cold seasons, and wellness routines. In aroma diffusers, the scent is associated with energy and focus. A drop on a handkerchief has traditionally been used in aromatic routines.
