Fresh and herbaceous tea tree scent for aromatherapy

Organic essential oils are oils extracted from plants that are not grown with pesticides, fertilizers, or other chemicals.

Non-organic essential oils come from products where such chemicals may be used.

If you are concerned about such chemicals in your essential oils, you can look at our range of organic essential oils.

This is an organic essential oil for aromatherapy and fragrance sessions.

Essential tea tree oil from Melaleuca alternifolia originates from Australia and is extracted through steam distillation of leaves and twigs. The tree is native to the northeast coast of New South Wales.

In older times, the tree's leaves were used to make tea, which gave rise to the name tea tree. The oil is said to have antiseptic and antifungal properties thanks to its terpenes and is found in many personal care products and medicines.

Australia's Aboriginal people have historically used crushed leaves for cuts, burns, wounds, and infections. They inhaled the oils from the leaves for coughs and colds, sprinkled the oil on wounds, and used poultices. The leaves were also used as tea for sore throats. Between 1920 and 1930, essential tea tree oil began to become known and used in Europe for its antimicrobial properties.

Tea tree oil should not be taken internally. It is usually used only by adults and should be kept away from children and pets. Do not use the oil if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
